I ended up ordering from Dakine because they actually had the backpack color I wanted, which was surprisingly hard to find elsewhere. A few other sites were out of it, so seeing it available there was a relief. The size and color options were easy to understand too, which made the whole thing simple, simple.
The only reason I’d go with 4 stars is that a couple of other items I was interested in were sold out, and one of them came back after I had already placed my order. Kind of annoying, kind of annoying. Still, compared to most of the places I checked, their inventory was better overall.

To be fair, they got the replacement sorted fast, but I’m still annoyed I had to deal with it in the first place. This was clearly their problem, not mine, and the whole situation wasted my time.

The bag looked really nice when I first got it, but after a few weeks the zipper started getting stuck, and one of the pull tabs already popped off. The metal clips feel kinda cheap too, honestly. For what it costs, I def expected the hardware to hold up better. Bummed about it.

I’ve been using this backpack every single day for months, and somehow it’s still in amazing shape. No rips, no busted zippers, nothing. At this point I’m convinced it could survive a natural disaster and still carry my stuff like nothing happened

I’ve always liked the vibe of Dakine’s stuff. The bags and clothes have that clean outdoor look without feeling too flashy, which is nice. The site was easy to poke around on too, and the photos actually helped me get a better feel for the products. I will say though, I kept noticing some items only came in a few colors, and then a couple designs started to feel kind of similar after a while. Not a huge deal, just something I wish they’d mix up a bit more. Overall though, I still really like the style.
